From Hobbyist To Team Lead ~ A Team Solutions Success Story

What started as a hobby turned into a passion and career. 

Meet Justin Brewer, our 3-D Printing Team Lead. Justin has been with Team Solutions Dental for a year and a half. In that short time, he has worked his way up from an entry-level 3-D printing technician to overseeing the department as a Team Lead. Working under the leadership and guidance of President and Co-founder Jason DeFranco, Justin is currently working on an employee development plan to become the Fabrication Supervisor over 3D Print and Milling.

But this is just the beginning for him.

3-D printing was merely a hobby acquired by Justin after his wife, Brianna, purchased his first 3-D printer. Feeling inspired by the technology, he decided to Google search ‘3-D printing jobs’. After a few scrolls, Team Solutions Dental popped up. Fast forward to his first day as an entry-level technician, Justin was asked by his Team Lead what his professional goals and plans were at Team Solutions Dental, to which he answered, “To take your job.” 

A year and two months later, Justin Brewer was promoted to his current title of ‘3-D Printing Team Lead’.

The most exciting part of Justin’s day is getting the chance to share all the knowledge he’s acquired to help teach a new generation of 3-D print professionals.

Justin’s development at TSD has yet to slow down as he continues to construct new goals and learn new skills. The continuous growth the company experiences by taking on progressive and innovative projects while enhancing the workflow seems to excite and motivate everyone who has joined this revolutionary team.

Working for a company where change drives continuous organizational growth might seem overwhelming to some, but not for Justin. Instead, he advocates for one of TSD’s cultural values, ‘Embrace change’, "You may walk in one day and see your whole workstation has been moved, and you simply must embrace the change.”
